Learner Diversity Project
Description
As a GILT511 course assignment, I created a Learner Diversity Lesson. I created a Vocabulary Lesson for a made up 4th grade class of 20 students. The lesson contains activities and instruction for visual learners, aural learners, verbal learners, and physical learners.
Reflection
The learner diversity project created an environment that fosters interest in all aspects in technology because it specifically addressed learners with special needs. I rated myself as proficient because the project was done thoroughly, but I know at this point, I don’t have advanced skills in educational theory and application. I used the DID model and created a lesson plan that would engage all students in technology, regardless of their learning style. This activity helped me grow as a professional because I learned a new skill that I could immediately use as a learning professional.
