Grant Proposal

Description

As a GILT511 course assignment, I wrote a Grant proposal for a made-up school. I formally requested an Interactive Flat Panel, Chrome Books, and a DSLR Camera. I wrote a technology summary and evaluated the technology I requested.

Reflection

Writing this grant proposal was a great way to communicate high learning expectations. By advocating for technology upgrades, it communicated to my leaders that with the right resources I could perform my duties as a teacher at a high level. This assignment helped me grow as a professional because I finally started to view myself as an educator. I do not have a background in Education, so this assignment wasn’t exactly easy for me, but I felt I was able to assume the role of a teacher and properly advocate for the resources I was seeking.
